Hewlett Packard corporation has been extremely generous in their donations to our projects. Their first donation was a HP Vectra XU 5/90C computer. This system has a Pentium 90 processor, 16 megabytes of RAM, 530 megabytes of hard drive space, and a 6X CD-ROM. Most impressively, this system came with a 4-megabyte video card to run the Ultra VGA 1600 21" monitor. Accompanying this machine were a HP DeskJet 550C color printer and a HP ScanJet 3C flatbed color scanner. In 1996, HP donated several new computer systems. The second system is from the Vectra 500 series. It is comprised of a Pentium 166 processor, 16 megabytes of RAM, a 1.6 gigabyte hard drive and an 8X CD-ROM. We also received from HP a P166 Omnibook laptop and a top-of-the-line palmtop computer.

Hewlett Packard is an commendable computer company and they have a committment to education that reflects their excellence. Very recently they granted us one of their best internet servers, the LH PRO. It is a 200 Mhz machine with twin Pentium Pro processors, over 128Megs Ram, a CDR (Writeable CDROM) and a regular CDROM. It is a fantastic machine capable of handling several T-1 lines, token rings, ethernet networks, etc. This server allows customers to operate their own web site and become their own service provider. We can now make the critical transformation into The "Classrooms of the Future" by connecting any type of network in our operation thus encompassing many others in both Hyde Park and the United States.
