EDUCATION IN AMERICA

The Xerox corporation has granted us one of their top of the line full color laser copiers.  It is a Xerox Countess and facilitates the learning process through the use of color in our presentations and worksheets.  Xerox has also been extremely helpful in the technical support areas involving the Ethernet network we have connecting the computers throughout the classroom. This allows us to print from any system directly to the copier. Along with the copier itself, Xerox also donates all the toner that we need to continue using the copier free of charge

Home Automation Systems donated a variety of home Automation products including the IBM Home Director and various other compatible modules for it.  These modules are incredible and allow the classroom to be run from one of the various computers under voice or GUI control.

Bretford: The communications Furniture Company
Bretford has custom designed and constructed one of their fabulous motorized filmscreens on a $500,000 laser for the SPACESHIP DISCOVERY Science and Technology Museum. The screen servers as the main starship viewscreen which is 8' wide by 8' high. Its motion is controlled by voice commands and we project onto it from the console located on our bridge. These screens are an absolute must for every home theatre.

Lightware has donated one of their best video projectors to the Classroom of the Future. The L-1020 allows us to project films and other media for the entire class to view in XGA High Resolution display with 700 lumens.

Thanks to Jim Searles of Lightware we are now using Lightware's smallest model:  the SCOUT. It has an incredible 700 lumens AND is the smallest LCD projector on the market. It is perfect for travelling presentations: it is simply FANTASTIC!

OlympusThe D-340L allows us to take pictures of the Classroom of the Future project and post them on our website. We also use it to take pictures of the varios labs and activities that we do in class. The camera puts out one of a kind quality with the easiest of use.

Thanks to Video Labs we have, not one, but two Extremely High Resolution Flexcams for teleconferencing and Science Experiments

Kodak corporation has granted us two of their brand new digital cameras. They ease the process of bringing our photos to the World Wide Web by eliminating the developing and scanning processes.

Vernier Software
Vernier software has been supporting our ideas and learning for serveral years through the donation of their original Graphical Analysis program for MS-DOS. Now, Vernier has also donated the new version of Graphical Analysis for Windows 3.1 and Windows 95. We use this program frequently in our labs and other experiments in place of graphing completely by hand.

Knowledge Revolution

Knowledge Revolution has donated Interactive Physics III, a 2 dimensional physics modeling and simulation solution program. This program is used daily in the classroom to predict the results of lab activities before they are performed. An indispensable tool to physics education, this donation is greatly appreciated. In addition to this 2D modeling tool, Knowledge Revolution has donated Working Model 3D, "the definitive tool for virtual prototyping," that can calculate the behavior of everything from engines to the game of pool. This advanced form of Interactive physics is an important tool for the advanced modeler.

Pioneer New Media Technologies:

The Classroom of the Future was lucky enough to recieve one of Pioneer's new 40" Plasma screen televisions. This screen allows students to experience learning in full multimedia. The screen is hooked up to one of our many computers so that Mr. Holt can use it as a high speed, futuristic teaching tool.
          PIONEER
This DVD player from Pioneer has computer inputs so that we can
use our computers to control the player. The DVD player casts a
high quality signal to a select number of video displays. The Dolby
Digital outputs connected with our audio setup adds surreal sound
to the viewing experience.

PASCO scientific

PASCO scientific was generous enough to donate some high-tech equipment to our "Classroom of the Future", such as a PASCO SCIENCE WORKSHOP 500 (portable Science lab) which includes a Type K Thermocouple, a PASCO Force Sensor, a Motion Sensor and an EKG. Thanks PASCO!
